Os alunos do High School da Texas Tech University reuniram-se em uma cafeteria, a fim de discutir as leituras do semestre. Os alunos do primeiro ano do programa, que estão no nono ano Fundamental II, discutiram Animal Farm, de George Orwell. No segundo ano do programa, que são os alunos do primeiro ano do Ensino Médio, tiveram a peça The Tempest, de Shakespeare. Finalmente, os alunos do segundo ano do programa, que estão no segundo ano do Ensino Médio, leram O Apanhador de Centeio, de J.D. Salinger. É importante que a aula também aconteça em outros ambientes, para que os alunos percebam que podem aprender em qualquer lugar, seja ele uma sala de aula ou não. A discussão foi bem divertida, pois os alunos participaram ativamente dela. Após as atividades, fizemos alguns jogos para o fechamento do dia da melhor forma.

The Texas Tech University High School students gathered in a cafeteria near the school, in order to discuss the readings from the current semester. The Freshman students, who are students from the 9th grade, discussed Animal Farm, by George Orwell. The Sophomore students, who are students from the 1st year of the regular Brazilian High School, had the play The Tempest, by Shakespeare. Finally, the senior students, who are in the 2nd year of the regular Brazilian High School, discussed the book The Catcher in the Rye, by J.D. Salinger. It is important to have classes in different environments, so students can notice that they can learn anywhere they go, even if it is a classroom or not. The reading discussions were fun, because the students participated actively. After this activity, we played some games to finish the day in the best way.
